The Xbox One offers the ability for users to record and share clips from gameplay or live-stream directly to Twitch, Ustream, the consoles controller was redesigned over the Xbox s, with a redesigned body, D-pad and triggers capable of delivering directional haptic feedback.
The Xbox One received mostly positive reception for its refined design, multimedia features. Its original user interface was panned for being nonintuitive, although changes made to it and its Kinect received praise for its improved motion-tracking accuracy, its face recognition logins, and its voice commands. A redesigned model known as Xbox One S was released in August , it has a design, native support for 4K video playback and upscaling. It was praised for its size, its on-screen visual improvements, and its lack of an external power supply.
Xbox One is the successor to Xbox , Microsofts previous video game console, over the years, the had received a number of small hardware revisions to reduce the units size and improve its reliability. Initial hardware for the s successor, commonly referred to by the industry as the Xbox , was reportedly under development as early as May , the official developer kit was codenamed Durango, and appeared to be available to developers by mid The console was unveiled under the name Xbox One on May 21, in a press conference designed to cover the units broad multimedia.
A second press event for the console was held during E, at that time, Microsoft announced that the console would be released in 21 different markets on November 22,, but this was later amended down to The change, which pushed the date for the other eight markets to , was attributed to unforeseen complexity in localizing the devices voice recognition capabilities.

Haptic technology — Haptic or kinesthetic communication recreates the sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to the user.
Haptic devices may incorporate tactile sensors that measure forces exerted by the user on the interface, most researchers distinguish three sensory systems related to sense of touch in humans, cutaneous, kinesthetic and haptic. Haptic technology has made it possible to investigate how the sense of touch works by allowing the creation of carefully controlled haptic virtual objects. Such systems tend to be one-way, meaning external forces applied aerodynamically to the surfaces are not perceived at the controls. Here, the normal forces are simulated with springs and weights.
In lighter aircraft without servo systems, as the aircraft approached a stall the aerodynamic buffeting was felt in the pilots controls and this was a useful warning of a dangerous flight condition. This control shake is not felt when servo control systems are used, alternatively, the servo force may be measured and the signal directed to a servo system on the control, known as force feedback. Force feedback has been implemented experimentally in some excavators and is useful when excavating mixed material such as large rocks embedded in silt or clay and it allows the operator to feel and work around unseen obstacles, enabling significant increases in productivity and less risk of damage to the machine.
The first US patent for a telephone was granted to Thomas D. Shannon in An early tactile man-machine communication system was constructed by A. In Norwegian Geir Jensen described a wrist watch haptic device with a skin tap mechanism and it would connect to a mobile phone via Bluetooth. Tapping-frequency patterns would identify callers to a mobile and enable the wearer to respond by selected short messages and it was submitted for a governmental innovation contest and received no award.
It was not pursued or published until recovered in , the Tap-in device by Jensen was devised facing the user to avoid twisting of the wrist, see image. It would adapt across all mobile phone and watch brands, in Apple started to sell a wrist watch which included skin tap sensing of notifications and alerts to mobile phone of the watch wearer.
